Will current students and alumni please describe the following universities. What’s it like to attend there?
Higher Education (University +)
I am planning to attend these universities when I graduate from high school in the near future. I would like for current students and alumni to please describe the following universities. I would also like to know about: academics, quality of education, professors, housing, student life, the campus, majors, etc. Thank you.
1. Harvard University (This is the university I really want to attend; as a hispanic, this university will open many doors for me and provide excellent academic oppurtinites for me, since I’m a minority.)
2. Princeton University
3. Yale University (Not really. I’m more of a Harvard prospective student than a Yale.)
4. Tufts University
5. Boston University
6. University of Massachusetts (Amherst or Boston campus)
I’m planning to attend one of them, not all.

Hey, I only went to a state school, and it is good to have high aspirations, but my advice, use spellcheck on your applications.

I also did not attend one of these schools but I can tell you that they are all great schools. UMASS Amherst is a really big party school though. In fact the only school on your list that I don’t hear about for partying is UMASS Boston (although I am sure people do still party). The one benefit to UMASS is in-state and/or NE student tuition if you qualify as opposed to 25-50k/year for the other schools. All of your choices are incredible competitive (UMASS less than others but I still know several in-state students rejected from UMASS). You should also consider the location because all of these schools are in different settings. UMASS Amherst is in a rather rural area compared to some of your other choices.

Just because you are a minority does not guarantee enrollment! Good luck on riding that out, for your life. Hope you have the back to support getting in to any of the schools!

Check their websites or visit their campus. All of these campus are on the east coast an could be visited in a weeks time.
Talk with their admissions people and they will answer all the questions.
If you are looking for an honest and upfront answer from a student then ask the admissions councilor to arrange a meeting with a student to further investigate this.
Seems like the wrong place to be inquiring about this topic … maybe more work from you and less from us.
